  1. These a guy at our local cycling club he’s 82 and National 12 hour Time trail champion! Just cycling for 12 hours is pretty amazing to race is crazy!! He’s all over his social media too! Very sharp.
I believe he was combined forces RAF, Navy and Army cycling champion when he was younger and in the Navy.

    • Hi Simon Many thanks for letting me know about him. I’ll be in touch with everyone once I’ve read through all the messages. Best, Laura

  3. Good evening
You might be interested in photographing my husband. He is 89 in October and remains fit, healthy and active. For the past 40 years he has been a glider pilot and tows his self launching glider every summer to soar the Sierra de Guadarramas near Segovia. Sadly, this year, the current situation will prevent his trip.
He has walked the Camino de Santiago twice, covering 750km each time, and would very much like to repeat the experience for a third time.
He is father to two daughters, aged 62 and 61, and to three sons, aged 30, 28 and 21.
    Best wishes
    Jane Le Coyte

  4. Over 80 photograph

    Hi Laura

My Dad sent me your article and I thought of my Mum as an extraordinary person you might like to photograph.

Let me know how we progress from here.

    Best wishes, Neil

  5. Hi Laura, I just read the article about your projects on the BBC website and wanted to suggest my own father for your ‘extraordinary’ over 80’s project. My Dad (84) has been an avid cycling and history enthusiast all his life. Though he struggles with angina nowadays, he still gets time to be chairman of his life-long cycling club as well as the Glenside Hospital Museum in Bristol, which he helped to found. He still owns and maintains his collection of vintage bicycles and goes on rides with the Veteran Cycle Club. I’m sure you will have a lot of requests to meet many interesting people and I wish you luck with your project!

    • Many thanks for your message Paul and for letting me know about your dad. I’m still reading responses and will be back in touch. Best, Laura
