  1. Hi Linda
    My mum is amazing!
At 86 she is still very alert despite having diabetes all her life.
Her body is starting to let her down but she has still remained very positive, a really inspiration to all her family and friends.
If there is nobody brave enough to play her at Scrabble she will play herself. She can recite all the king’s and queens of England if asked.
Although as her daughter I maybe abit bias she is still s beautiful woman. This is something she does not acknowledge to herself
Good luck with your project as it would be great to acknowledge our older generation..

  2. Dear Laura,
I have an amazing 90 year old friend, who I am sure would prove a perfect subject.
Always immaculately dressed, She lives independently and is still going to the Theatre and Cinema on her own.
She is also interested in Jazz and other forms of music.
Having brought up two Children practically on her own they are a testament to her, being high achievers.
However, I would have to ask her and her daughter whether she would be happy to sit for you.
Am I able to pass on your information for them to look at ?
If she agreed, I could send you a photograph.
If I lived to be her age, I sincerely I hope will be as glamorous and so interested in the World and what’s around us.

  3. Hi Laura
My mum & dad are 86 & 90. They live on a 500 acre sheep farm in Oxfordshire, which Dad still manages. The farm has been recognised in the farming press for its technical innovation, and also has actively pursued conservation and allowed public access. It is a beautiful place, enjoyed by Mum who walks the dogs up the hill daily, keeps a fabulous flowering garden, and loves meeting new people. They are great entertainers, with many friends my age. Dad’s main disappointment about Covid is that it has meant the postponement of a 90th birthday boat trip he had organised for a week around the Hebrides with & for his extended family, and also of a fishing trip to Montana. If it’s possible to have a good old age, they are definitely a great example of it, and, whilst they are fortunate, I respect them because they have largely made their own luck

  4. Hi,

Messaging about my 88 year old dad, who is still working in the business he’s had for 60 years in Bridlington, mending sewing machines in the shed at the bottom of his garden. A character known throughout the town. Denis Torn is his name 😊
