  1. Hi
My cousin had said you were looking for some over 80s who are quite active and I have my parents who fit that bill. They are 87 and 82 years young and both do the garden still planting veg and potatoes. Mum still plays badminton and walks everyday. Dad is an active member of the local community and volunteers at the local church and royal British legion. They are a true inspiration to our family about what matters most and how to go get it

  2. Would love to nominate my parents for the extraordinary over 80s project. They have lived an amazing, full life and show no signs of slowing down. Happy to make an introduction!

  3. Hi Laura, just read an article on the BBC website suggesting you may be looking for extraordinary over 80’s For a project. I’d like to suggest my dad, Laurie Dale, who is 92 and until lockdown was working everyday in his record shop. That he’s owned since 1964. He has entertained the “old” people the at the local pensioners Christmas dinners for over 50 yrs and still performs from time to time. Where it not for lockdown he’d also be swimming in Tenby Harbour every day by now. He is truly extraordinary. Regards, Charli Dale

  4. A friend has suggested that I might be a subject for your project. I am 81 and work with refugees, especially raising money and collecting furniture and household goods and passing them on to refugees who have almost nothing.

  5. Hello,
I saw the article about over 80s on the news. I’d like to nominate my dad (I haven’t asked him yet!). He is active, is a keen mountaineer and, last week, I saw him up a ladder in his garden, pruning a poplar tree. He is 85.
