  1. Hi Laura
I think my mother is truly amazing! She is nearly 89 and is so fit and energetic. She is always looking after her friends and neighbours and cooks for people when they are unwell. At the moment she is sewing for the NHS.
Two years ago she had a terrible fire in her house and she had to leave with just the clothes she was wearing. She loves to garden and she is a very good painter.
She was a model when she was young and I think she still looks beautiful. I hope you will consider photographing her.

  2. Hi, I was reading in the news that you are looking for over 80’s who are inspirational/active etc to photograph. My mum is 87 and has always been involved in her church work. She currently (pre and post covid lockdown) organises a rendezvous at her church for the “old people” -some of whom are younger than her! It’s a regular event where they do some social/ leisure and religious activities. She has had an interesting life and worked for the church army pre and post children. (There are 4 of us)

  3. Hi
I hear you want to photograph and write a story about people over 80 who have been inspirational. My mum is 82, she had an oil leak on in her home and was evicted on Xmas eve, she is still in temporary accommodation and isolated, living on her own throughout the COVID period. Her resilience and positivity is outstanding. She would make a great story of positivity, a retired nurse and an amazing person.

  4. Hi Laura, I love your work! He’s probably squirm, but when I read about your over 80s project I thought of my 93 year old dad.

He’s a teacher (philosophy) and still in touch with so many old students, from all around the world. Still sharp, edited a book last year, still travelling (pre Covid). His dad helped set up the Windermere project for Jewish kids after the camps. So many tales to tell.

Anyway. I’m guessing there are thousands of beautifully lined and fascinating faces to photograph but thought I’d act on impulse for once!

    Good luck with your project,

    Claire
